Varroa mite online training options

Education and training is a key part of the National Varroa Mite Management Program. Through this program, online and face to face training is being delivered nationally, along with a range of resources, to support beekeepers and pollination-reliant industries in the management of Varroa destructor.

Varroa basics - online training

Varroa basics is a short online course to provide beekeepers with a basic introduction to Varroa, focusing on life cycle and symptoms, detection, spread, monitoring, and integrated pest management. It consists of 15 topics and a quiz.

It will be most applicable for beekeepers in areas yet to have detected Varroa in hives or where there have been recent detections.

This online training is expected to take 30 minutes to complete.
