Varroa Mite was first detected in NSW in June 2022, bringing a new challenge to beekeeping in Australia.

With this new challenge and the changes to beekeeping, an overload of information and resources can also create a sense of overwhelm.

We are here to assist.

Whether that be a confidential chat, connection to health or other related services, our job is to help ensure you have access to the best support possible.

Talk to our Resilience Officer

Jamie works as a Resilience Officer with the National Varroa Mite Management Program.

He has years of on-the-ground experience helping primary producers recover from bushfires, floods and biosecurity threats.

In his time helping others Jamie has developed a critical network of counselling, financial and welfare support service contacts.

Jamie is also an accredited Mental Health First Aider himself and knows that building resilience and recovery takes time.
